It gets really dark by the end. You feel so bad for the leader of their group when you see what she had to endure after the plane crash.

I remember watching it and thinking it took this odd shift, and it worked.

What astounded me was how good the movie really was. I was prepared for some late 70's hokum, but this is a real gem. All I can figure is somebody decided to make a a go with an absurd assignment and this is the result.

Sadly, I only own single issues of each one (can't seem to find where I put the first issue...).
Five issues were made and a sixth one was prepared. However, the man I sent it and all the files to never produced that issue. Which is too bad because it looked nice and there is and article in it from Fred Olan Ray about independent Florida filmmakers.

By the way you have any of these for sale. I'm pretty poor but would still love to smell the old crusty paper and give them a good read.

Sorry but I haven't read thru everything on your blog so you may have said this already but how many issues did you put out back then, and how long did your zine run for? (I won't bother you with asking why you stopped cos usually zine editors stop for no other reason than: "Uh, I dunno, I just did". Haha.

It was past several years, and I arrived at you who published "FOD".
I was able to get one of "FOD".
"FOD" was a cool magazine without the kind else.
At first I want to thank you who published it.

It knows that there was not financial success for you, and I feel it disappointing.
And I feel disappointing that FOD will never revive.

I was really surprised by "The Hamiltons", especially after wading through so much of the dreck that wore the "Eight Films To Die For" badge. It's not perfect, but the ending was good enough to make me overlook many of its flaws.
